Beth & Jareds wedding cake

My long-time friend Beth wanted a cake with understated elegance that met her black and white themed wedding. Held in a small vineyard in North Nowra on NSW South Coast, we agreed on a 3-tiered round chocolate mud cake in white with black ribbon and simple white sugar roses atop of the cake. I wish you a world of happiness in your marriage Beth and Jared.

Pirate themed cake

Jett's 6th Birthday was celebrated in style with his friends enjoying a pirate themed chocolate mud cake. Layered with chocolate ganache, the whole cake is edible. Jett's eyes lit up when I delivered this. YUM!

Jason and Nicoles wedding

Nicole decided that she wanted a very pink wedding and showed me a picture of a similar cake. We made the bottom tier in caramel mud with two-chocolate ganache filling and light pink icing. The middle tier is dark chocolate mud in a lighter pink finish and the top tier is white chocolate mud in a white finish. The clear column is filled with fresh rose petals in dark and light pink, and swarovski crystals were sprinkled over each tier to give the cake some sparkle.

Weekend Markets: Picton and Castagne Day at Fairy Meadow

WOW! What a busy weekend. 500 cakes made and consumed for Picton markets and Castagne (Italian) Day at the Fraternity Club at Fairy Meadow. Caramel mud with milk chocolate ganache and honeycomb proved to be my most popular cake. Met loads of lovely people and had a great time! Thanks to Hubby, Julie, Robert, Mum and Nan for all of their help on the day!

Josh's 30th Birthday

One of my good friends Josh celebrated his 30th Birthday this weekend. Josh is a keen West Tigers fan, and loves white chocolate, so I created this cake for him made of white chocolate mud and filled with white chocolate ganache. Happy 30th Birthday Josh!

A busy week

I've been super busy this week and I'm very excited as I have a stand at both the Picton Creative Traders Market and The Italian Festival in Fairy Meadow this weekend. Looking forward to posting photos of some new cakes I will have for sale (such as my pirate cupcakes), as well as my regular favourites including Rocky Road Mud cakes!

Check back next week for photos.

Mia's 4th Birthday Cake - Mermaid themed party

Mia loves my white chocolate mud cake and asked for this special cake for her 4th birthday.

Leigh-Anne and Brenton's wedding

As the bride and groom were having a formal garden wedding, they wanted a cake that reflected this. The formal structure of the tiers with pillars were used, along with soft lisianthus to achieve this request. The bride and groom also wanted sugar models of themselves and their dog.
Flavour: White chocolate mud with white chocolate ganache and white chocolate tiles. Top tier fruit cake.
Serves: 80 dessert portions/160 coffee portions

Lynette's 50th

The brief for this cake was hawaiian themed, bright, and nothing that screamed the birthday girl turned 50. Sugar frangipanis in pink and yellow adorn each cupcake, which are caramel mud cakes. The bottom tier is chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache, and the top cake has been made to look like a cupcake with chocolate fondant as the wrapper.

Thomas the tank engine cake

I was asked to make this cake after making a Monsters Inc cake for Orlando. The customer wanted a Thomas cake and sent me through a photo of a cake she had seen and liked. With a few minor changes made, this cake was thoroughly enjoyed by all at Henry's party. Chocolate mud with dark chocolate ganache. Serves: 50 dessert portions/100 coffee portions

Testimonial:
"Hi Cherrie,
I just wanted to say thank so much for the great cake. Everyone said that the cake tasted fantastic and the decorating was great. My boys loved the Thomas theme. I will be using you again. I also referred your name.
Thanks again,
Rita"

Evie's Christening Cake

This cake was requested by a friend of previous clients, Rebecca and Matthew. The customer requested a pretty girls cake in pink and white, two tiers with baby blocks.
Flavour: Chocolate Mud and Caramel Mud with Dark Chocolate Ganache
Serves: 50 dessert portions/90 coffee portions
